Plate bread is getting more expensive

If you have been waiting for inflation to subside, then there is bad news for you. According to the news, now your roti and parathas are going to be more expensive. Only flour and water are used in making roti whereas flour, water, oil and vegetables are used in making parathas. Therefore, the taxes on both are not the same but have been levied separately, between which there is a difference of land and sky. This is very bad news for those who consider both to be equal.

What is the matter?

According to the information received, now eating paratha will be more expensive than roti. The statement given by the Gujarat Appellate Authority of Advance Ruling i.e. GAAR regarding Paranthas has angered everyone.

If you are a fan of paranthas then next time you go to the hotel be prepared to pay a higher price for it. It has been said that parathas are different from roti, they cannot be put in the same category. Roti attracts 5 per cent GST while Paratha will attract 18 per cent GST.

Company said tax should be same

Let us inform that the Ahmedabad-based company Vadilal Industries had appealed that there is not much difference between roti and paratha, so GST of 5 percent should be imposed on both. But the company’s argument has been rejected and it has been said. That paratha will attract only 18 per cent GST.
