If you are planning to exchange 2000 notes or do any work related to the bank in September, then be careful, because banks will open only for 13 days in September. RBI has released the list of holidays for September, under which 17 days Banks will remain closed.


If you still have 2000 note, then get it replaced soon. This is because the deadline to exchange these notes is nearing. The Reserve Bank of India has given time till 30 September 2023 to replace the 2000 notes. But in the meantime, banks are going to remain closed for 17 days in the next month and banks will remain open only for 13 days. In such a situation, if you want to change the note, then get it changed soon, otherwise you may have to face trouble later.   • Bank Holiday on 19 September: Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)
  • Bank Holiday on 20 September: Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day) / Nuakhai
  • Bank Holiday on 22 September: Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day
  • Bank Holiday on 23rd September: Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh
  • Bank Holiday on 25 September: Birth Anniversary of Srimanta Sankardeva
  • Bank holiday on 27 September: Milad-e-Sherif (Birthday of Prophet Muhammad)
  • Bank holiday on 28 September: Eid-e-Milad/Eid-e-Miladunnabi – (Birthday of Prophet Muhammad) (Bara Wafat)
  • Bank Holiday on 29 September: Indrajatra/Friday after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi.
