In such a situation, the power out of Honda City is seen more in the 1.5 liter petrol engine, but the transmission options are seen in both. At the same time, in Verna you also get a GDI turbo petrol engine sourced from Hyndai Venue which comes with a standard 7-speed dual clutch transmission and is just 1 bhp less than the Power City, while torque is 27 Nm more. Overall, the Hyundai Verna offers better petrol engine options than the Honda City.

Who has a strong diesel engine
Talking about the diesel engine option, Honda City has a 1.5 liter engine that generates 99 bhp power at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1750 rpm. This engine only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. At the same time, in Hyundai Verna you get a 1.5 liter diesel engine which generates power of 113 bhp at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm torque at 1500 – 2750 rpm. This engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission in addition to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Comparing the diesel engines to each other, the Honda City engine is less powerful than the Verna and only comes with a manual transmission. At the same time, the diesel engine of Hyundai Verna is more powerful than the City and it comes with both manual and automatic transmission.
