The attack, which took place around 2:30 pm in the Baisaran valley, was claimed by The Resistance Front, believed to be linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Eyewitnesses said that armed men in military fatigues emerged from the nearby pine forests and began firing indiscriminately at tourists, causing panic and chaos.
