Five were sued, including the chairman of the Nagar Panchayat, in the officer’s suicide case.
Baliya. A case has been registered against BJP leader and Nagar Panchayat Chairman Bhim Gupta in the suicide case of Mani Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Mani Manjari Rai. Five people have been nominated in this case, including employees of the panchayat. Manimanjari’s brother Vijayanand had named Tahrir, accusing the Manire chairman in the case of Manimanjari Rai, the executive officer of Maniyar Nagar Panchayat. Apart from the chairman, a case has also been registered against Maniyar’s former EO, tax clerk, computer operator and driver of Manimanjari. All are accused of pressuring the officer for wrongdoing. Also, there is a mention in the complaint letter of fraudulent signing of crores of crores.
The corpse of Manimanjari, a 30-year-old PCS officer from Maniyar, was found hanging from a fan hook in his room on Monday. In this case, the Executive Officer Service Association and the family wrote a letter to investigate the matter. Manimanjari’s brother Vijayanand has written an FIR. In which city panchayat president Bhima Gupta has been asked to pressurize the executive officer to continuously make wrong payments along with some contractors. Due to this pressure, the executive officer attached himself to the district headquarters for three months. Once the deployment was made in Maniyar, then the pressure started to build.

According to the FIR, money was also demanded from the government by making fake signature of Manimanjari. It also included tax clerk Vinod Singh and computer operator Akhilesh. The Nagar Panchayat president was pressurizing him to do 35 works of two crore without getting tender. In this, 18 works were given to a single contractor. Complaint was also made with the Additional District Magistrate. Sanjay Rao, former EO of Maniyar and present EO of Sikandarpur, also pressurized it. The driver of the executive officer’s car also met them. According to the city Kotwal Vipin Singh, the case is being investigated after registering a case. On the other hand, in the death of Manimanjari Rai, Chairman Bhim Gupta has declared himself innocent. However, Babu Vinod Singh of Nagar Panchayat said that he has no role in the tender or other allegations.
