According to the information received, the Narendra Modi government will now pay dearness allowance for the pending 18 months of central employees soon. It is believed that before Diwali and Chhath festival, the central government will give dearness allowance to lakhs of its employees, which has increased from 17 percent to 28 percent. This is not official information, but before Diwali, the amount of dearness allowance will come in the account of lakhs of central employees. Along with this, there is also another good news that there is a preparation to give 3 percent dearness allowance from July, so dearness allowance will be 31 percent.
Good news for the central employees of Delhi-NCR
Employees of Delhi-NCR, troubled by the continuous increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, CNG and PNG, will get relief from the increased dearness allowance. Significantly, in the meantime, the way has been cleared for 3 percent more increase in dearness allowance for July 2021. It is being said that if the dearness allowance is increased by 3 percent, then the DA will become 31 percent. At present, central employees are getting 28 per cent DA. Earlier, after January and June last year, DA has been paid in three installments in January this year. In this context, if 3 percent DA, which will increase in July 2021, is added, then it will reach the total 31 percent. On the other hand, according to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of GCN, at present, discussions are going on regarding the arrears of dearness allowance. It has been demanded from the central government that the arrears during 18 months should be paid. For this, if the government wants, it can also negotiate in it.
A large number of central employees reside in NCR cities including Delhi as well as Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad, including the Central Public Works Department.
