7th Pay Commission: After the commencement of Corona, the government has taken these major decisions for the central personnel so far, from salary to pension.

7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News 2020: Since the Corona transition in the country till now, the Central Government has taken many major decisions on dearness allowances, pension, holidays etc. from central employees. These decisions of the government are impacting the existing employees as well as retired employees. The Modi government imposed a lockdown across the country in the early days of the outbreak of the Corona infection. After this, the government made the first decision regarding dearness allowance (DA).

It was decided not to pay additional installments of DA and Dearness Relief to employees and pensioners on 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021. However, the government also clarified that this system would be restored later. This decision of the government is directly impacting salary and pension.

After this, rosters were re-implemented in all departments to follow social distancing at Lockdown. In many departments, employees are being called to work two to three days a week. The rest of the day the employee is being discharged. At the same time, the government has given relief on the Knight Allounts, giving some relief to the workers. The government has decided that employees will be given separate allowance for doing duty at night.

Earlier this allowance was given on the basis of grade pay but the government has banned it. It was also decided to provide provisional pension to pensioners who retire during the Corona period until the pension payment order arrives.

Due to this, employees are getting pension even after not being able to submit documents due to corona after retirement. In view of the lockdown, the validity of the CGHS card was extended till April 30, 2020. The last date for its expiry was 31 March.

Apart from all this, work is also being done on the payment of salary to the workers who are re-contracting after retirement. In order to remove disparities in the salaries of retired employees who are getting appointments in different ministries and departments, the Finance Ministry is working on pay rules. Soon, it will also benefit.
