7th Pay Commission DA Hike Update: More than 65 lakh employees of the Central Government are waiting for the increase in Dearness Allowance since July.
It is being claimed in the media report that on September 28 i.e. on the third Navratri, the government can announce a 4 percent increase in it. But before this, the government employees have got a setback. The government has decided to make changes in the minimum service conditions for promotion as per the 7th Pay Commission.
Decision to change minimum service conditions
In the office memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on September 20, it was said that it has been decided to change the minimum service conditions for promotion. This change will be done on the basis of the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. It was hoped by DoPT that the changes required for promotion may be incorporated in the Recruitment Rules/Service Rules by making suitable amendments..
Now there will be promotion after working for so many years!
For this, all the Ministries / Departments were also requested to make necessary changes in the recruitment rules following the due process. Under the amended rules, it is necessary to have three years of service for Level 1 and Level 2. At the same time, 12 years of service is necessary for level 6 to level 11. However, for Level 7 and Level 8, only two years of service is required. Let us see the information about the new service terms after the change-
Let us tell you that under the Seventh Pay Commission, the DA of central employees was increased in March 2022. At that time the government had increased it by 3 percent, which had increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. At that time, the employees were given arrears of three months by the government. Now the increase in dearness allowance of the employees from July is due. An announcement of 4 percent increase is expected on this on September 28.
