For a long time, central employees have been demanding from the government to increase the minimum wage from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 and to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. Many employees unions have put this demand in front of the central government. According to media reports, the government can now announce an increase in the fitment factor after hearing this soon. In this context, there can be a big increase in the salary of the employees.
Know how much the basic salary will increase
The fitment factor decides the basic salary of an employee. If the government increases the fitment factor, then the basic salary of the employees will automatically increase. Earlier the fitment factor was increased in the year 2016. During that time the basic salary of the employees was increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000. This time the basic salary of the employees can increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 due to increase in the fitment factor. In this context, an increase of Rs 8,000 can be seen in the basic salary of the employees.
There will be a big increase in the salary of the employees,
Due to the increase in the fitment factor, as soon as the basic pay of the employees will be increased to Rs 26,000, the salary of the employees will also increase on the same basis. The dearness allowance received by the employees is calculated only on the basic salary. At present, employees get 31 percent dearness allowance on basic pay. In this sense, due to increase in basic pay, there can be a huge increase in dearness allowance as well.
