DA and HRA Hike: Modi government gave double gift, HRA increased along with DA, bumper salary will come in March

New Delhi. 7th Pay Commission: Good news for central employees can be announced soon. According to different media reports, the central government has made up its mind to increase the fitment factor and it can be increased soon. If this happens, then there will be a significant increase in the salary of the central employees.

AICPI Index November figures are out. The index has reached 125.7. In such a situation, it is now clear that there will be an increase of 2 percent in Dearness Allowance for January 2022. Meaning the total dearness allowance for central government employees will be 33%. Right now they are getting paid 31% DA.

Decision on fitment factor possible

Before increasing the DA in the new year, a decision can be taken regarding the fitment factor of the central employees. At present, the fitment factor is fixed at 2.57. However, there has been a long-standing demand of central employees that it should be made 3.68. It is expected that before January 26, the government can take a decision on this. According to media reports, before 26 January 2022, the employee organizations will meet the representatives of the government in this matter.

Salary will double

If this happens then the minimum basic salary will reach Rs 26,000. If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary excluding allowances will be 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260. If this is taken as 3.68, then the salary will be 26000X3.68 = Rs 95,680. Accordingly, the salary is estimated to be double. This calculation has been done on the minimum basic salary. Those with maximum salary will get more benefits.
