Recently, the decision was taken by the Central Government to increase the DA of employees and pensioners . Now employees and pensioners will get salary with increased DA and three months arrears in the month of April .
3 percent hike in salary for central employees
There is a good news for the Central Employees . The Central Government has recently announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) under the Seventh Pay Commission . The DA and DR of employees and pensioners were increased by 3 percent. With this, government employees will get 34 percent DA along with their salary.
The government also said that the move will benefit over 47 lakh employees and over 68 lakh pensioners. “The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DA) would be Rs 9,544.50 crore per annum. This will benefit about 47.68 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
Increase in DA under 7th Pay Commission
DA has been increased to 34 per cent for central government employees. The rate of dearness allowance was 17 per cent till July 2021. After July, the government had announced an 11 percent DA hike, making it 28 percent, after which 3 percent DA hike was announced.
How much will the salary increase after increasing DA?
After the latest hike, Central Government employees will get 34 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) calculated by multiplying the current rate of DA by the basic pay of the employee . Explain that this calculation is done against the salary of an employee whose basic salary is Rs 18,000. Earlier , the employee was getting Rs 5,580 DA at the rate of 31 per cent DA . After the latest hike, the employee will get DA of Rs 6,120. This means that after the latest DA hike, an increase of Rs 540 has been made.
