7th pay commission latest update on da Punjab government has given a big gift before Diwali. The state government has announced an increase of 11% in the DA i.e. dearness allowance of its employees. After this announcement of the state government, Rs 444 crore will be spent every month.
“The state government has announced a hike of 11% in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees,” he said during a press conference in Chandigarh. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that Rs 440 crore would be released every month for payment of DA to the employees. He said that 11 per cent DA of the total 14 per cent DA would be released in installments.
7th pay commission latest update on da It is worth noting that the state government has announced to cut electricity rates by Rs 3 per unit in Punjab today. The new rates will be applicable in the state from today itself. After the cabinet meeting, CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that there are 72 lakh consumers in the state government of Punjab. Out of which 95 per cent consumers will be benefitted from this scheme. The CM claimed that this would be the lowest rates in the country.
