According to sources, the government can consider this demand of central employees. Its decision is expected after July. If this happens, then there can be a double gift for the central employees in the month of August.
Basic Salary will be increased by Rs.8000
If a decision is taken regarding the fitment factor of central government employees, then their basic salary will directly increase by Rs 8000. At present, on the basis of fitment factor 2.57, the employees are paid the salary. It can be increased to 3.68. On this happening, the minimum salary of the employees will be increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000.
Considering doing 3 times fitment factor
The other section of the government also believes that the minimum salary under 7th CPC will not be raised directly to 3.68 times. Rather, it can be made 3 times in view of the recommendations of the 7th pay commission. If the government makes the fitment factor 3 times, then the basic pay of the employees will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 21,000. Meaning it will increase by Rs 3000.
Union will meet cabinet secretary
According to sources, the employees union says that its demand is being made for a long time. But, the matter is pending. The employees union has already met with the cabinet secretary. At that time the employees were assured that the government would consider the fitment factor. However, no decision was taken on this. Once again a meeting is to be held with the Cabinet Secretary. The date and time of the meeting has not been decided yet. This meeting is likely to take place in August.
