New Delhi. The Central Government has announced a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance for employees and Dearness Relief for pensioners. If the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) for central employees will increase to 31 percent. This increase has been implemented from 1 July 2021. Its purpose is to help the government employees and pensioners (Govt Employees/Pensioners) fight inflation. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners will get direct benefit from this decision.
How much amount will be spent every year from the treasury?
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that according to the Seventh Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission), Rs 9488.7 crore will be spent annually from the exchequer to implement the decision to increase DA by 3 percent. He termed it as a festive gift by the Modi government for the central employees. He said that the rates of dearness allowance and dearness relief are determined on the basis of increase in All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers. The hike in DA will help in reducing the impact of rising inflation on the employees and pensioners.
How much will the salary increase in October
- If your basic salary is Rs 18,000, then you are currently getting dearness allowance of Rs 5030. At present, DA is 28% of the basic salary.
- Now it has increased by 3 per cent i.e. now you will get dearness allowance at the rate of 31 per cent i.e. now you will get DA Rs 5,580.
- If the basic salary of central employees is Rs 18000, DA will increase by Rs 540.
- The higher your basic salary, the more DA will come.
The IMF raised the inflation rate, the increase in the prices of
