Central Government Employees have got another good news. After the 7th pay commission, the central government has increased the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of employees by 12 percent under the fifth and sixth pay commissions. Under this, the DA basic pay of Central Government and CAB employees, who are paid as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, has been increased from 189 per cent to 196 per cent. This hike will be effective from 1 July 2021.



According to media reports, in a Memorandum (OM) issued on 1 November 2021, the Department of Expenditure (DoI) of the Ministry of Finance stated that the rate of Dearness Allowance in respect of employees of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies, which is as per the Sixth Central Pay Commission. are drawing their salary as per Pay Scale or Grade Pay, their existing DA has been increased from 189% to 196% of Basic Pay, the increased DA will be effective from 15th July, 2021.



Apart from this, the employees and employees of CAB who are getting salary according to the 5th Pay Commission will also get the benefit of increase in DA at the rate of 12 percent. Under this, the salary under pre-revised pay scale or grade pay, their basic pay From the current 356 per cent to 368 per cent. This new hike is effective from July 1, 2021. All the ministries and departments under the central government have been asked to implement the pay scale as per the recommendations.
