The employees of Madhya Pradesh are waiting for the good news, but recently the Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh has increased the DA of the state employees (7th Pay Commission) by 5% before Diwali. This will be applicable from July 1, 2021, this will benefit 4 lakh 45 thousand officer employees of the state.
After the increase of 5% dearness allowance of Chhattisgarh government under 7 pay commission, now dearness allowance has reached 17 percent, after which the amount of increased dearness allowance will be paid in cash from July 1. Calculation of dearness allowance will be based on basic pay. The special pay will not be included in the personal pay. The same order has been issued regarding 10 percent increase in the sixth pay scale, under which there will be an increase of about 164 percent in dearness allowance.
Under the order issued, no part of Dearness Allowance shall be treated as pay under Fundamental Rule 9(21). If the payment on account of Dearness Allowance is 50 paise and above, the same shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee. Amount less than 50 paise will be omitted. These orders will also be applicable to members of the service of UGC, AICTE, work-loaded and contingently paid employees. Let us inform that recently the Modi government of the Center has increased the dearness allowance of central employees from 17 to 28 percent, while the government servants and pensioners of Chhattisgarh state were getting only 12 percent dearness allowance from January 1, 2019. The employees of the state had lagged behind the central employees by 16 percent, due to which there was a financial loss of 4-5 thousand rupees per month in the salary, so the employees were demanding to increase the dearness allowance and now it has been increased by 5 percent.
