The central government has announced to give special increment on salary to some of its employees. With this increment, the salary of the employees will increase. The benefit of this increment will be given to the officers of Level 6 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission. There has been a substantial increase in the salary of officers of this rank.
The officers whose salary has been increased are working in the Department of Military Arrairs. According to a media report, the officers of Level 5A, Level 10A, Level 10B, Level 12A, Level 12B and Level 13B will get the benefit of special increment. The government has increased the personal payment of these officers.

The benefit of this increment will be given to those officers who participate in sports competitions at the international level. These officers have been selected for special increment. For a long time, this issue was under consideration with the Ministry of Defense, which has been accepted by the Ministry and has cleared the way for special increment of officers.

Recently dearness allowance has increased
Earlier on October 21, the government in a big decision announced to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent. The rate of allowance was increased in the recent month itself, but in view of the inflation, the government once again increased it to 3 percent. Earlier the rate of dearness allowance was 28 percent which has increased to 31 percent. More than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will get the benefit of this increase.
For pensioners, the government has increased dearness relief or DR. The hike in dearness allowance has come into effect from July 1, 2021. The government will spend Rs 9488 crore on this increase. Earlier the rate of dearness allowance was 17 percent which was increased to 28 and in the latest decision it has been increased to 31 percent. Employees whose minimum salary will be Rs 18000, due to increase in dearness allowance, there will be a benefit of Rs 6480 in a year.
