Pensioners wrote a letter to PM Modi

Manch has written a letter to PM Modi asking him to help in this matter. In May 2020, the Finance Ministry had stopped the DA hike till 30 June 2021 due to the Kovid-19 pandemic. It has been asked to restore it again from 1 July 2021.
Arrears stuck for one and a half year
The Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance of the Office Memorandum said that the DA payable to central government employees will be increased from the existing 17 per cent to 28 per cent of the basic pay. In April last year, the Finance Ministry had put on hold the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) till June 30, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The DA rate was 17 per cent from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
