According to the latest media reports, the dearness allowance of central employees may increase by 5 to 6% in July. Although no confirmation has been made by the government yet, it has been estimated on the basis of the AICPI Index. If this happens, there will be an increase in the salary of the employees from 40 thousand to 2.60 lakh. This will benefit 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners.
At present central employees are getting the benefit of 34% DA. Since the DA of central employees increases twice a year. The first increase has happened in March and now the second increase is likely to happen in July. Based on the AICPI Index, there may be an increase in dearness allowance of central employees by about 5-6% in July. Although the figures for May and June are yet to come, if it also sees an increase in numbers like March-April, then there can be an increase in DA by up to 6%. It is believed that if the AICPI index reaches 130 in June. If so, there will be a big increase in dearness allowance and there will be a bumper jump in salary.

That means Rs 900 will increase every month as compared to the existing DA. In total, central employees with a basic salary of Rs 18000 will be paid dearness allowance of Rs 10800 annually.
- If the maximum basic salary is Rs 56900, then the total increase in the annual dearness allowance will be Rs 34140. Means Rs 2845 will increase every month against the existing dearness allowance. If the basic salary of the employees is Rs 56,900, they will get Rs 21,622 as DA on 38% DA and the salary will increase by Rs 2,276 per month i.e. the annual salary will increase by Rs 27,312 i.e. total The annual DA will be Rs 2,59,464. On the same 40% DA, there will be an increase of 40000.
Apart from this, there may be an increase in the House Rent Allowance (HRA) of central employees getting salary under the 7th Pay Commission. It is being given at the rate of percentage. Thereafter, it will increase from 27% to 30%, although this will be in case the DA rises from 34 per cent to 50 per cent, resulting in an annual HRA increase of Rs 20,484.
According to media reports, according to the 7th Pay Matrix, the maximum basic salary of employees is Rs 56,900, then if HRA is 27 percent, there will be a benefit of 20000 in the salary. For example, house rent allowance is Rs 56900 x 27/100 = Rs 15363 per month. So having 30% HRA will be Rs 56,900 x 30/100 = Rs 17,070 per month i.e. total difference will be Rs 1707 per month. Annual HRA will increase by Rs 20,484. These rates vary by region and city, currently the minimum HRA for all three categories is Rs 5400, 3600 and Rs 1800.
