7th Pay Commission: These days the Central Government is kind to its 47 lakh 68 thousand employees and 68 lakh 62 thousand pensioners. Like the 7th Pay Commission, the central government is giving gifts one after the other to the central employees. Meanwhile, big news has come to the fore regarding the arrears of central employees for 18 months.

After giving gifts continuously, the central government has given a shock to its more than one crore employees and pensioners. Employees and pensioners who have been waiting for the arrears of DA and DR of 18 months for a long time are facing despair. The Central Government has once again made it clear that the Central employees and pensioners will not be given the money for the outstanding DA Arrear for 18 months stuck from the year 2020. The government has clearly said that the Dearness Allowance (Dearness Allowance) stopped at the time of corona infection will not be given.

This is being considered a big blow to the central employees who have been waiting for the DA arrears of 18 months for a long time. The Central Government has made it clear that the arrears of DA withheld from January 2020 to June 2021 will not be given. The Finance Ministry has turned down the request of pensioners to release 3 installments of dearness relief withheld during the COVID-19 pandemic for immediate relief work.

In the 32nd meeting of the Standing Committee of Voluntary Agencies to Review Pension Rules, a representative of the Department of Expenditure (DOI) made it clear that the arrears amount of the previous DA and DR would not be released. Significantly, DOI is a branch of the Union Finance Ministry.

Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 28 percent from July 1 by the central government. Earlier, they were getting paid at the rate of 17 per cent. At the same time, in October 2021, it was increased to 3 percent and 31 percent. At the same time, in March 2022, once again the dearness allowance has been increased by 3 percent.

According to a rough estimate, the DA arrears of Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. DA of Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 is drawn on employees at Level-13 (7th CPC Basic Pay Scale of Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14 (Pay Scale). The amount of arrears will be different for different grades of employees.

Let us tell you that dearness allowance and dearness relief are given to government employees and public sector employees and pensioners. DA is given to improve the living conditions of government employees. It is given to government employees, public sector employees and pensioners. The reason for giving it is that the standard of living of the employees should be maintained even in the rising inflation.
