In fact, the government has not given the arrears of dearness allowance for one and a half year temporarily stopped to the employees amid the Corona crisis. In such a situation, today the central employees are expected to get some relief. Government employees can get double bonus today. Explain that the government has increased the DA of lakhs of employees to 28 percent. Along with this, the House Rent Allowance (HRA) has also been increased.
How will the salary increase, the
Central Government while issuing an order said that the house rent allowance and DA should be increased on the basis of the basic salary of the government employees. According to the rules, HRA has to be increased if DA is more than 25 percent. Therefore, the central government has decided to increase the HRA to 27 percent. In the order issued by the Department of Expenditure on July 7, 2017, it was said that when the DA exceeds 25 percent, then the HRA will also be revised. In such a situation, since July 1, 2021, dearness allowance has increased to 28 percent, then it is necessary to increase HRA also.
How much more HRA will be given
Central employees are being given 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent HRA according to the category of the city. This hike has also been implemented with DA from 1st July 2021. The category of house rent allowance is according to the X, Y and Z class cities. If you understand in simple words, then X category central employees will now get more than Rs 5400 per month HRA. After this, Y class employees will get Rs 3600 per month and Z class employees will get Rs 1800 more house rent allowance per month.
Here is the math of increased salary
According to the 7th Pay Commission, the minimum basic pay of central government employees is Rs 18,000. At present, the basic salary of private sector employees starts from Rs 15000. Central government employees were getting dearness allowance of Rs 3060 on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 at the rate of 17 per cent till June 2021. From July 2021, central government employees will get Rs 5040 per month at the rate of 28 per cent DA. On this basis, the monthly salary of central employees increased by Rs 1980.
