7th Pay commission: There is important news for central employees. There may be an eclipse on the dearness allowance to be increased in July. The figures of dearness allowance have started coming, which does not seem that in July 2022, there will be an announcement of increase in DA of central employees. Let us know in detail.
New Delhi: 7th Pay commission: Recently there has been an increase in the DA of central employees. The government has given a gift of 3% DA hike in the cabinet meeting. After this announcement, the total DA of central employees has become 34%. Its money was also credited with March salary. Along with this, the employees have also got the DA Arrear for January-February 2022. After this, now the employees are waiting for the DA to be increased in July. But, before that there is bad news for the central employees.
DA not expected to increase in July
It is worth noting that the Dearness Allowance of Central Government Employees is revised twice a year. The first revision is from January to June. At the same time, the second is from July to December. The first increase of dearness allowance for the year 2022 has been done in March. Now it will be revised once again in July. Meanwhile, the figures of dearness allowance have started coming. On the basis of the data released so far, there is very little chance of increase in the next dearness allowance. Right now only the January and February AICPI index figures have come. There has been a decline in this compared to December 2021.
How much did the AICPI figure drop?
In December 2021, the AICPI figure stood at 125.4. At the same time, in January 2022, it declined by 0.3 points and it came down to 125.1. After this, in February also it has declined by 0.1 points. Due to the fall in the figures in both the months, it is definitely feared that there will hardly be an increase in dearness allowance in July. If this figure falls further and goes below 124.7 then there will be no increase in DA. At the same time, DA can be kept constant even if it goes below 124. According to experts, this will not reduce the DA.
However, the possibilities do not end there. Because the numbers of March, April, June are yet to come. If the AICPI index moves upwards during this period, then there will definitely be an increase in dearness allowance.
How are AICPI figures decided?
The All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) figures are decided by the Ministry of Labor and Employment on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets located in 88 industrially important centers of the country. The index has been prepared for 88 centers and for the entire country. This data of AICPI is released on the last working day of every month.
