AICPI data increased in March after a decline in February
For central government employees, DA is calculated on the basis of CPI-IW index. The Labor Bureau, a branch of the labor ministry, releases the CPI-IW data every month. The calculation of dearness allowance for central government employees and pensioners is done with a fixed formula based on these indices. This time the AICPI index data for March has been released on 28 April. This data has increased again this time. It fell in February but rose again in March and April. For this reason, it is expected that from July 1, the dearness allowance will increase by 4 percent.
The DA of the employees would have increased so much
Let us tell you that when the dearness allowance received by the employees is 42 percent. It is expected that the DA of the employees may again increase by 4 percent. The report released by the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) states that the Modi government may once again increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent in the month of July. The government will announce this increase by September-October but it will be considered applicable from July 1.
Salary can increase so much
If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary will increase by Rs 720 per month. That means there will be an annual increase of Rs 8,640 in the salary of the employees. The employees whose basic is Rs 56,900 per month, then there will be an increase of Rs 2,276 in salary.
That means, on an annual basis, Rs 27,312 will increase. If we look at the previous trend, for the last 2 times the government is increasing DA by 4 percent and in the month of July, the government can once again increase DA by 4 percent.
