7th Pay Commission: The new year can bring great news for the central employees. There may be an increase in the salary of the employees. In the 7th Pay Commission, the central government employees have been raising the demand for increase of percentage DA since July 1. Now once again speculations are being made to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) from 28 to 31 percent.
47 lakh employees will get benefit
Let us tell you, the salary of central government employees increases when their basic salary or basic-pay and grade-pay increases, but DA has a big role in this. About 47 lakh employees of the central government and about 68 lakh pensioners will benefit from the increase in DA.
DA will increase by 31 percent
According to finance experts, at present the basic salary of the employees ranges from Rs 18000 to Rs 57000. Accordingly, the salary of employees with salary of Rs 18000 will increase to Rs 30,240. Apart from this, the employees who are getting salary of Rs 56900 per month, due to increase in DA by 31 percent, their annual salary will increase by Rs 2,11,668. That is, a difference of Rs 95592 will be seen in the salary of one year.
This is how the minimum salary will increase
- Basic Salary: Rs 18,000
- 31% DA: Rs 5580 per month
- Existing 17% DA: Rs 3060 per month
- Increase in DA: Rs 2520 per month
- Increase in annual salary: Rs 30,240
The maximum salary will increase by Rs 95,592
- Basic Salary: Rs 56,900
- 31% DA: 5580: Rs 17,639 per month
- Existing 17% DA: Rs 9673 per month Increase in DA: Rs 7966
- Annual Salary Increase: Rs 95,592
HRA may also increase
According to media reports, employees can get increased HRA from January 2021. As soon as the HRA is received, there will be a tremendous increase in the salary of the employees. Indian Railway Technical Supervisors Association (IRTSA) and National Federation of Railwaymen (NFIR) have demanded the implementation of HRA from January 1, 2021. After this it can be applicable on the salary of all central employees.
