Central government gave gifts to central employees in the festive season. His dearness allowance (DA) increased to 46 percent. An increase of 4 percent was approved. Now the dearness allowance of central employees has increased. Along with the October salary, he will be paid 4 percent additional dearness allowance.

How to get the benefit of arrears?

Dearness Allowance (DA) of central employees has increased by 4 percent. It will be paid from October. But, it is applicable from 1st July 2023. Therefore, dearness allowance from July to September will be given as arrears. All central employees and pensioners will get the benefit of 3 months arrears. In the new pay scale, dearness allowance will be calculated according to the pay band. The grade pay of employees at Level 1 is Rs 1800. In this the basic pay is Rs 18000. Apart from this, Travel Allowance (TA) is also added to it. Only after this the financial arrears are decided.

Calculation on minimum salary of Rs 18,000 in Level-1-

Calculation at minimum salary of Rs 56,100 in level 10-

The grade pay of central employees in level-10 is Rs. 5400. The minimum basic salary of these central employees is Rs 56,100. Due to increase in dearness allowance of these employees, there has been a difference of Rs 2532 in the total DA.

How much dues at Cabinet Secretary level?-

There is no grade pay at level 18. Here the salary is fixed. Actually, the salary of Cabinet Secretary is in this level. The salary in this is Rs 250,000. Due to increase in dearness allowance by 4 percent, there is a total difference of Rs 10288. See the complete calculation below..

Understand the pay band of central employees-

Under the 7th pay commission, the salary of central employees has been divided into different grade pay from level 1 to level 18. In this, dearness allowance is calculated on the basis of grade pay and travel allowance. In Level 1, the minimum salary starts from Rs 18,000 and the maximum salary is Rs 56,900. Similarly, salary varies according to grade pay from level 2 to 14. But, there is no grade pay in level-15, 17, 18. Here the salary is fixed. In Level-15, the minimum basic salary is Rs 182,200, while the maximum salary is Rs 2,24,100. The basic salary in level-17 is fixed at Rs 2,25,000. At the same time, even in Level-18, the basic salary is fixed at Rs 2,50,000.
