7th Pay Commission 7th CPC central government employees news: The Central Government has relaxed the rules for release of family pension in case of death on the job. Due to this change, in the event of death during service, the relatives of the employee will be able to get pension and they will not have to travel for months. Apart from civil services, it will also provide great relief to the employees of the military forces, where such cases are more frequent. According to the order issued by the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare, Rule 80-A of the Central Civil Services Pension Rules has been relaxed. Under this rule, family pension and death gratuity required the approval of the Pay and Accounts Office. Verification of all documents and then orders took many months to come.



 

 

According to the new order, the pension can be issued only after the order of the head of the department in which the employee was posted. For this, you will not have to wait for the order of Pay and Accounts Office. The new order states that if the family of the deceased employee gives the death certificate and details of the bank account along with the documents and the head of the department agrees with it, the claim can be cleared immediately. This will provide immediate provisional pension to the aggrieved family.

For the issuance of Provisional Family Pension, the Head of the Department will not have to wait for the Pension and Accounts Office to forward the documents and get the approval. Not only this, in case of military forces, if the employee died while on the job, then provisional family pension can be started without waiting for the final Operation Casualty Report.

 

 



The department said that it took a long process to send the documents to the Pay and Accounts Office and then get the approval. In such a situation, the family of the deceased employee had to travel for months. In such a situation, people will get a big relief from the new order. Not only this, in the order, the Pay and Accounts Office has been told that if the head of the department has approved the provision pension, then payment should not be stopped on the demand for additional documents.
