7th pay commission: Changes in family pension rules, maximum limit increased, this amount will come in the account

According to the announcement of the ministry, after 7th CPCs, the maximum salary in the government has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh per month.



The Modi government has made major amendments in the rules of family pension. According to an official announcement, the Defense Ministry has increased the maximum limit of two family pensions payable to one child or children for both parents, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. According to the announcement of the ministry, after 7th CPCs, the maximum salary in the government has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh per month.

The Ministry of Defense in a statement said that with regard to the ceiling limit of two family pensions payable to the child/children in respect of the deceased parent and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the above DoPPW The maximum limit of OM will be applicable.

Changes for Armed Forces Personnel and Pension for Army The maximum limit mentioned in Regulation 72(b)(i) of the Regulations, Part-!(2008) has been revised to Rs.75,000/- per month (ie Rs.2,50,000) and Regulations 72(b)(ii) will be revised from 01.01.2016 to Rs.1,25,000/- per month (i.e. 50% of Rs.2,50,000) after 7th CPCs.



On the other hand it is also released that after 7th CPC the highest salary in Govt has been revised to Rs 2,50,000/- per month. Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) revises the maximum limit of two family pension payable to one child/children in respect of both parents to Rs.1,25,000/- per month (50% of Rs.2,50,000/-) Normal family pension at enhanced rate) and Rs. 75,000/- per month (30% of normal family pension of Rs.2,50,000/-) with effect from 01.01.2016. Ministry of Defense vide order dated 29.10.2021 has implemented the order of DoPPW in respect of Armed Forces Personnel with effect from 01.01.2016 with necessary changes.

The above provisions will also be applicable to Air Force and Navy pensioners and the Air Force and Navy Pension Rules may also be amended. All other terms and conditions on the subject will remain unchanged, the Defense Ministry said. The directive issued as per the announcement will come into force on January 1, 2016.
