New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Recently dearness allowance of central employees was increased. Now the central government is again preparing to increase the DA. This increase can be up to 13 percent. This increase in DA is being done for those employees, who have not yet got its benefit.
34% DA was done
Actually, the Central Government had increased the dearness allowance of the central employees coming under the 7th Pay Commission. His DA was increased from 31 per cent to 34 per cent.
But, the benefit of this increase in DA has not been available to the employees coming under the 5th and 6th pay commission. In such a situation, now the government is preparing to increase their dearness allowance.
Employees of 5th and 6th pay commission will benefit
According to media reports, according to the Department of Expenditure of the Union Finance Ministry, the DA of the employees coming under the 5th Pay Commission can be increased. This increase can be up to 13 percent.
At present, the employees coming under the 5th Pay Commission are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 368 percent. This will increase to 381 percent. Similarly, there may be an increase of 7 percent in the DA of the employees coming under the Sixth Pay Commission. They are currently getting DA at the rate of 196 percent. After the DA hike, it will be 203 percent.
DA arrears will also be available
According to media reports, this increase will be valid from January 2022 for the employees of the 5th and 6th pay commission. Along with this, DA arrears will also be given to the employees from January 2022.
Let us tell you that the salary and allowances of the employees working in the autonomous institutions of the central government are fixed under the 5th and 6th pay commission. Since these employees do not come under the Seventh Pay Commission, they could not get the benefit of the increase in DA that happened in the past.
