According to media reports, the government can increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees by 4 percent (DA Hike 4%) in the last week of Navratri i.e. in September. If this happens then the DA will be 38 percent. Central employees can get increased dearness allowance in salary from October 1. With 38 per cent DA, the salary will increase to Rs 27,312. Also, DA arrears can also be received from July.

The government can increase the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent in Navratri. The figures of the AICPI-IW on the basis of which dearness allowance is fixed, have also come. The figures for the first half of AICPI-IW (All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial Worker) have come. It has gained 0.2 percent and has reached the level of 129.2 points. This is the reason that the expectation of increasing DA before the festivals has increased. Government employees and pensioners will benefit from increasing the DA of the government.
The basic salary of the employees is Rs 56,900, if there is 38 percent dearness allowance, they will get Rs 21,622 DA. At present, Rs 19,346 is being received at the rate of 34 percent DA. A 4 per cent increase in DA will result in an increase of Rs 2,276 in salary, i.e. an increase of about Rs 27,312 annually.

The increase in dearness allowance of the government will benefit 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners of the country as their salary will increase. At the beginning of the year, the government had increased the DA by 3 per cent, after which the dearness allowance reached 34 per cent. Now due to increase in DA by 4 per cent (DA by 4 per cent) the dearness allowance will become 38 per cent.

After months of waiting, lakhs of central government employees are finally expected to get the good news in September. DA hike announced
- While the DA hike may be announced in the next cabinet meeting and around Navratri 2022, the interest amount for PF may come in August-end or September, it was informed.
- With the DA hike determined based on the AICPI data, an increase of 4 per cent has been confirmed. The All India Consumer Price Index climbed 1.3 points to 129 in May, followed by a 0.2 point increase to 129.2 in June.
- It has also been pointed out that the issue of 18-month DA arrears, the long-standing demand of compensation for the freeze amid COVID-19 may now soon result in positive news.
- Ultimately, more than 7 crore account holders of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) will receive the interest amount by the end of this month. It has been said in the report that this time the account holders will get PF according to the interest rate of 8.1 percent.
