Dearness Allowance will increase to 39%
At present, the dearness allowance is 34 percent. If the government increases the minimum increase i.e. 4 percent, then the DA is expected to be at least 38%. If this decision is taken by the government, then it will benefit more than 50 lakh central employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
Will be effective from 1st July!
If a decision is taken by the government to increase DA, it will be effective from July 1, 2022. It is expected that soon the increased salary and arrears will come in the account of central employees. If there is an increase of 4 percent in the Dearness Allowance, then the total dearness allowance of the central employees will reach 38%. At present, dearness allowance is being paid at the rate of 34 per cent. The new dearness allowance will be announced in August 2022. The central government will take a decision on dearness allowance in the cabinet. However, it will be considered applicable from 1st July 2022. Its payment in salary will also be according to the month of July.

2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 6840/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (34%) Rs 6120/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 6840-6120 = Rs.1080/month
5. Increase in annual salary 720 X12= Rs.8640
