Punjab State Ministerial Services Union (PSMSU) President Amrik Singh said that with the new hike, DA will increase to 38 per cent.

DA of government employees increased by 4 percent

The decision in this regard was taken after a meeting with representatives of PSMSU here. During the meeting, Mann discussed the demands of the employees. Today held a meeting with the representatives of Punjab State Ministerial Service Union and discussed their issues in detail. He then shared the good news with everyone. We are going to give a New Year gift to the employees…DA has been increased by 4%. This increase will be considered effective from December 1, 2023.

Employees were demanding for a long time

After the meeting, PSMSU President said that the CM announced 4 percent increase in DA for state government employees. He further said that the CM assured that the remaining 8 percent DA will also be given. The employees were demanding implementation of the old pension scheme, release of stuck 12 percent DA and regularization of contract employees. PSMSU on Sunday suspended its over a month-long pen-down strike, which started on November 8. They postponed their strike before the meeting with the CM.
