7th Pay Commission: Along with the increase in DA during festivals, central government employees will also get arrears for the months of July and August. The new dearness allowance will be considered as applicable from July 1, 2022.
New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Employees coming under the Central Government have been demanding for a long time to increase DA i.e. Dearness Allowance. But the wait for those doing government jobs seems to be over this month. In fact, according to the news going on in the media, the central government can announce an increase in the DA of government employees on September 28. Apart from the increase in DA, the central employees are going to get another big news before the festive season.
Will get payment of DA arrears
Along with the increase in DA during festivals, central government employees will also get arrears for the months of July and August. Overall, the government will pay it at the time of Navratri. This will bring big money in the pockets of the employees.
How much will be the salary
According to the seventh pay scale, the minimum basic salary of central employees is Rs 18,000 and the maximum salary at the level of cabinet secretary is Rs 56900. According to 38 percent, on the basic salary of Rs 18000, the total increase in annual DA will be available in Rs 6840. That is, there will be a total increase of Rs 720 per month in dearness allowance. At the maximum basic salary bracket of Rs 56,900, the total increase in annual dearness allowance will be Rs 27,312. That is, if the DA becomes 38 percent against 34 percent DA, those in the maximum salary bracket will get Rs 2276 more.
DA may increase next year also
If we look at the difference in the data of the Consumer Price Index, it was at 129.2 points in the month of June, which has increased in July 2022. With the increase in the index, the way is gradually clearing that there may be an increase in dearness allowance i.e. DA in January 2023 next year as well. However, the figures for five months will have to be seen for how much the increase will be now. The dearness allowance will be decided in January 2023 on the basis of the data of the AICPI index from July to December.
