7th pay commission: Employees will get good news soon, Salary will increase from 60000 to 95000, know update

According to the latest media reports, after Holi 2023, there may be an increase in the minimum salary of the government employees, in view of the upcoming elections, the Modi government at the center may decide to revise the fitment factor of the salary of the central employees. If this happens, the basic salary will increase from 18000 to 26000.

In fact, at present the fitment factor of central employees is 2.57 per cent. Employees have been demanding to increase it for a long time, in such a situation, it is expected that the fitment factor may be revised in view of the upcoming elections. According to media reports, after DA, the government may also consider the fitment factor, it can be increased to 3.00 or 3.68 percent, this will increase the salary of the employees by two and a half times.

52 lakh employees will get benefit

On increasing the fitment factor, there will be a direct increase of 8000 in the basic salary of the employees. The basic salary will increase from 18000 to 26000. It is expected that Holi will be celebrated on March 8 and the Center may take a decision on increasing the fitment factor after Holi based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission and it can be implemented from 2026 if the new government is formed. This will benefit 52 lakh employees. Earlier, the government had increased the fitment factor in 2016 and from this year the 7th pay commission was also implemented.

Can be announced after Holi

The fitment factor plays an important role in the salary received by central employees, it is decided on the basis of their basic salary and fitment factor, apart from salary allowances. Media reports claim that there have been several rounds of meetings regarding the increase in fitment factor and the government is planning to implement it before 2024, and it is likely to be announced after Holi in March 2023. However, no confirmation has been made by the government so far.

Basic salary will be directly 26000

If the government considers the demand of increasing the fitment factor of the employees, the minimum salary of the employees will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. For example, if the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then excluding allowances, his salary will be 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260. On being 3.68, the salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000 X 3.68 = 95,680) i.e. there will be a profit of Rs 49,420 in salary. With 3 times the fitment factor, the salary will be 21000 X 3 = Rs 63,000.
