Salary of 52 lakh employees will increase
Fitment Factor 3.68 & 18 Months DA Arrears News : Actually, fitment factor is considered to play an important role in deciding the basic salary of central employees. In the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of central employees is decided on the basis of Fitment Factor. Because of this, the salary of central employees increases by more than two and a half times. At present, the Fitment Factor is 2.57 percent, which the central government employees have been demanding for a long time to increase to 3.68 percent. If this happens then the minimum basic salary of the employees will directly increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. This will benefit more than 52 lakh employees.
Due to increase in fitment factor, the salary of the employees will increase by this much.
Let us tell you that on the basis of Fitment Factor, the revised basic pay is calculated from the old basic pay. Fitment factor is an important basis in the last pay commission report, on the basis of which the decision of increment (7th CPC Salary Increment Update) will be taken. Last time in 2017 the entry level basic pay was increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000 per month. With its implementation, the minimum salary of central employees from Level Matrix 1 will start from Rs 26,000.
At present the fitment factor of central employees is 2.57 times, on this basis the minimum basic salary is Rs 18000 and the maximum basic salary is Rs 56900. If the fitment factor increases then the basic pay will increase from 18000 to 26000, if the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then he will have a profit of 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260 excluding salary allowances. 3.68, the salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000 X 3.68 = 95,680) i.e. there will be a profit of Rs 49,420 in salary.
