According to the government order, the DA of the employees has increased from 170 percent to 179.3 percent. Now people working below the board level and board level posts of BSNL will be given DA at this increased rate. Let us tell you that the increase in DA has been done for those employees, who are getting salary on the basis of Pay Revision of 2007. Non-executive employees are also included in this. However, there will be no effect on the amount of DA for October 1, 2020, January 2021 and April 2021. Because DA Freeze was kept during that time. Whereas DA for 01.10.2020 to 30.06.2021 is 159.9%.

Recently, the government had said that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) had a total of 1,49,577 employees, out of which 78,323 people have retired under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS). Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chouhan had informed that as of January 1, 2020, the total number of employees of BSNL was 1,49,577. After this, 78,323 employees have voluntarily retired under VRS. Let us inform that by 31 May 2021, the number of landline subscribers had increased to 2.16 crore.


There is no arrears of payment to BSNL from the Department in respect of employees opting for VRS. The department has paid Rs 13,542.05 crore as ex-gratia amount to BSNL for the employees opting for VRS.

Let us tell you that after the central government, the dearness allowance of many state employees has been increased, this includes the states of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, dearness allowance for central employees has been increased to 31 percent.
