The central government can soon give a big gift to the central employees. It is believed that the increase of Dearness Allowance (DA) can be announced on March 10 after the assembly election results in five states and before Holi.

Dearness allowance may increase by up to three percent. At present, the total dearness allowance is 31 percent, which may increase to 34 percent. If the dearness allowance is increased to 34 percent, then the salary may increase by 20 thousand rupees.

The government can increase the dearness allowance by up to 3 percent. At present, 31 percent dearness allowance is being given to central employees. After the increase of 3 percent in dearness allowance before Holi, the total dearness allowance will increase to 34 percent. The government’s announcement on the increase in DA will be based on the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. If the central government increases the DA of the employees by 3 percent, then their salary will increase significantly.

The AICPI-IW data for December, 2021 has been released, in which the index has declined by 0.3 points to 125.4 and the index has declined by one point to reach 361 points. This means that the average of 12 months index for dearness allowance is 351.33 i.e. 34.04% DA will be on the average index, but DA is payable only in whole, so from January 2022, the total will be 34%, in such a situation 3 of the employees The increase in the percentage dearness allowance is believed to be fixed.

Modi government can announce it before Holi. If the dearness allowance of employees increases by 3 percent, then DA will increase from 31% to 34%. If the DA becomes 33% and the basic salary is Rs 18,000, then the DA to the employees will increase by Rs 5940 and adding TA-HRA will increase the salary to Rs 31,136. If the DA is 34 percent, then the DA of employees with basic salary of Rs 18,000 will be Rs 6,480 per annum and Rs 20,484 annually for those with 56000 salary.

48 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners will get benefit due to increase in dearness allowance. The government can announce it after the results of the elections.
