7th Pay Commission latest news: Another good news has come for the central employees. There can be a tremendous increase in dearness allowance once again. This is indicated by the inflation figures. Actually, there is a tremendous increase in the data of AICPI index. With this, employees can get a new gift in the year 2023. The next increase in dearness allowance is to be done in January 2023. But, inflation figures for industrial workers indicate that DA may increase by 4 per cent. Experts are also agreeing that looking at the current situation, it seems that there will be a good increase in dearness allowance.
Dearness Allowance (DA) can reach 42 percent
Central employees will get the gift of dearness allowance next year. This will be applicable from January 2023. But, it will be announced in March 2023 around Holi. With a jump of 4 per cent, the dearness allowance will reach 42 per cent. There will be a total increase of Rs 720 per month on the minimum basic salary. Whereas, for the maximum salary range, there will be an increase of Rs 2276 per month. Actually, the Labor Ministry has released the figures of All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial workers (AICPI). This figure has been at 131.2 in September. There has been a total increase of 2.1 percent in the AICPI index till September 2022 as compared to June. Compared to August last month, there is a jump of 1.1 percent.
DA will join from the second half of 2022
In the second half, the numbers of the AICPI index will decide how much dearness allowance will increase in January 2023. There will be an increase in dearness allowance on the basis of data till December 2022. The figures till September have come. DA is revised every 6 months. The first is applicable from January and the second from July. The increase in January 2023 will be according to the figures till December. It will be announced in March 2023 around Holi. At present, dearness allowance is being received at the rate of 38 per cent.

If you calculate the minimum salary at Rs 18,000 then…
1. Basic salary of the employee – Rs 18,000
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 7560/month
3. Dearness Allowance till date (38%) – Rs.6840/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased – 7560-6840 = 720 rupees / month
5. Increase in annual salary – 720X12= Rs 8640
Calculation on maximum basic salary of Rs.56900
1. Basic salary of the employee – Rs 56900
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 23898/month
3. Dearness Allowance so far (38%) – Rs 21622/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased – 23898-21622 = Rs 2276 / month
5. Increase in annual salary – 2276X12 = Rs 27312
