According to media reports, the salary of 3.57 lakh panchayat and municipal teachers is to be increased at the rate of 15 percent from 3000 to 4650 rupees per month. Teachers will be paid the salary of about 27000 to 35650 rupees per month to teachers of different levels on 1st April 2021.
At the same time, these teachers will get the benefit of EPF from September 1, 2020, under which the government will contribute 13 percent of EPF on 15 thousand rupees. That is, the government will deposit Rs 1950 per month in the EPF head. From elementary to higher secondary school teachers and librarians will get salary and EPF benefits.
According to media reports, the School Education Department has sent a proposal in this regard to the Finance Department and now only after the approval of CM Nitish Kumar, the Finance Department will give the green signal. It is being told that at the beginning of next year, teachers and librarians will get the increased salary along with the previous arrears. However, it is being assured that from April all the payment will be made to the teachers by adding arrears.
Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Sanjay Kumar says that on April 1, 2021, teachers and librarians reinstated through panchayat and municipal bodies will get the benefit of 15 percent increment. A file has been sent to the Finance Department for guidelines on this. After returning the file from the Finance Department, you will get the benefit of increment.
