Media reports suggest that the central government is considering a 4% DA hike. If this happens then the DA rate may increase from the current 42% to 46%. However, the official announcement from the government is awaited, but today we will tell you that if there is an increase of 4% in DA, then by how much rupees the allowance of the employees will increase.
Basic salary at Rs 18000
If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then currently he would be getting a monthly allowance of Rs 7,560 on the basis of 42% DA. With an increase of 4%, the new rate of DA will become 46%. In such a situation, the employee’s monthly allowance will increase to Rs 8,280. There will be an increase of Rs 720 in the allowance on monthly basis. Let us tell you that the new approval of the government on DA will be effective from July 1. In such a situation, allowance for July, August, September and October i.e. a total of 4 months will be added to the upcoming salary of the employees. In this way, an allowance of Rs 2,880 will come in the October salary of a central employee with a basic pay of Rs 18,000.
On basic salary of Rs 56,900
The current DA at 42% for employees with a basic salary of Rs 56,900 adds Rs 23,898 to their monthly earnings. After the 46% increase in DA, this monthly allowance will increase to Rs 26,174. Employees with this high basic salary will also get 4 months allowance. Such an employee will get a total allowance of Rs 9,104 for 4 months in the October salary.
