7th Pay Commission: If you are a central employee then great news for you. Actually, according to an update from the government, it is being said that along with dearness allowance, the employees will also get three months’ arrears…
7th Pay Commission: The festive season has started and in this environment, crores of central government employees are waiting for the increase in Dearness Allowance i.e. DA. If we look at the pattern of the last few years, the Central Government announces the increase in DA till Dussehra. There is a similar possibility this time too.
How much increase is expected-
A DA increase of 3 percent is expected for the second half of the year. After this increase, employees will start getting 45 percent DA. Similarly, dearness relief or DR of pensioners is also expected to increase by 3 percent.
Let us tell you that dearness allowance is decided every month on the basis of the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI-IW) for industrial workers released by the Labor Bureau.
Will get 3 months’ arrears –
If the government increases DA till Dussehra, then central employees will also get 3 months’ arrears. Actually, this year the festival of Vijayadashami or Dussehra is being celebrated on 24 October.
Since the new increase will be applicable from July 1, 2023, DA for July, August and September will be outstanding. If we look at the previous pattern, the Central Government will also pay this outstanding DA with the increased salary of October.
This means that the increased salary that the central employees will receive in October will also include the arrears of July, August and September. Let us tell you that as per the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, DA is increased twice a year. This increase is applicable on half yearly basis.
