The AICPI index has been at 129 points in May. It is confirmed that in the coming days, dearness allowance will increase at the rate of 4%.

At present, dearness allowance is being paid at the rate of 34 per cent. The new dearness allowance will be announced in August 2022. The central government will take a decision on dearness allowance in the cabinet. However, it will be considered applicable from 1st July 2022. Its payment in salary will also be according to the month of July.
Understand how much salary will increase like this
Under the 7th Pay Commission, if the minimum basic salary is Rs 18,000, then the total increase in annual dearness allowance at the rate of 38 percent will be Rs 6840. That means, against the current dearness allowance, Rs 720 will increase every month. Overall, central employees with a basic salary of Rs 18000 will get Rs 8640 more dearness allowance annually. At the same time, if we look at the maximum basic salary of Rs 56,900, then the total increase in annual dearness allowance will be Rs 27312. This means that against the current dearness allowance, Rs 2276 will increase every month. His total annual dearness allowance will reach Rs 2 lakh 59 thousand 464.
