Good news for central employees! DA will increase in January
A big good news is sure to be received for the central employees regarding DA in the new year. For information, let us tell you that if the media reports are to be believed, then an official announcement about this can be made by the month of January. It is being said that from now on all the central employees will get more DA amount than before. Also, let us tell you that before the budget 2022, a decision may come out soon regarding the discussion related to the fitment factor. If there is an increase in the fitment factor, then directly the minimum basic salary will also increase. Due to which this will be a bumper increase for the employees.
Dearness Allowance (DA) will increase
According to experts, dearness allowance may increase by up to 3 percent. With this increase, DA will increase from 31% to 34%. Based on the AICPI data, the figures for September 2021 have just come out. According to which dearness allowance has become 33 percent. This means an increase of 2% has been done. As the figures from October to December have not come yet, due to which it is expected that an increase of 1 percent can be done now. If the CPI (IW) figure remains up to 125 by December 2021, then there is a fixed increase of 3 percent in DA. Due to which the DA will increase by up to 34% and this payment will be made to the employees in January.
Understand how much will be the increase in salary
Based on the AICPI index, if the dearness allowance increases by 3 percent, then it will increase from 31 percent to 34 percent. Now if we go with the minimum pay scale, then the annual dearness allowance at Rs 18000 would be Rs 73,440. And on this basis, the difference in annual salary will increase by Rs 6,480. Minimum Basic Salary Calculation
- Basic Salary – Rs 18000
- New Dearness Allowance (34%) – Rs 6120/month
- Dearness allowance received till date (31%) – Rs 5580/month
- Increase in Dearness Allowance – 6120- 5580 = Rs 540/month
- Increase in annual salary – 540X12 = Rs 6,480
Calculation on maximum basic salary
- Basic salary of the employee – Rs 56900
- New Dearness Allowance (34 percent) – Rs 19346 / month
- Allowance received so far (31 percent) – Rs 17639 / month
- Increase in dearness allowance – 19346-17639 = Rs 1,707/month
- Increase in annual salary – 1,707 X12 = Rs 20,484
