7th Pay Commission: Central employees are waiting for Dearness Allowance i.e. DA during the festive season. Earlier, the Central Government has announced to give non-productivity linked bonus to a specific category of its employees and non-gazetted employees for the year 2022-23. This bonus will be paid to Central Government employees in Group-C and all non-gazetted employees in Group-B, who are not covered under any productivity linked bonus scheme. It will also be paid to eligible employees of central paramilitary forces and armed forces. The calculation limit for its payment has been fixed at Rs 7,000.
There are also some conditions: According to the statement issued by the Expenditure Department, only the employees working till March 31, 2023 will get this benefit. The condition for this is also that one must have worked for at least 6 continuous months during the financial year 2022- 2023. Let us tell you that the bonus is added on the basis of the average salary of the employees, as per the higher limit of calculation, whichever is lower.

How will the calculation be done: Suppose your salary is Rs 18000, then your monthly bonus of 30 days can be around Rs 17,763. According to the calculation given by the government, it is 7000*30/30.4= Rs 17,763.15.
Let us tell you that the central employees are waiting for the DA for the second half of the year. It is believed that the government may increase DA by up to 4 percent for the half year from July to December. However, the official announcement is still awaited.
