The Gujarat government on Sunday approved non-practice allowance for serving doctors of government hospitals and teachers of Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society (GMIRS) medical colleges as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission .
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, who also holds the state health department, declared it as a “Rakshabandhan gift” for doctors and medical college teachers. The teachers were pressurizing for this and even went on strike for the demand.

Gujarat Medical Teachers Association (GMTA) President Dr. Rajnish Patel has welcomed the government’s decision. “It is a welcome step that the government has accepted the pending demands of the teachers and serving doctors of GMERS Medical College,” he said.
In fact, in May this year, months after the BJP-ruled Rupani government approved NPAs for teachers of six government medical colleges as per the Seventh Pay Commission , they were asked to call off their strike along with the teachers of eight GMERS medical colleges. Approved in.
GMERS Medical Colleges are semi-government institutions established under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of the state health department. At the same time, it is also reported that the salary of lakhs of central employees may also increase from this September. It is being said that the NDA government led by PM Modi has decided to increase the HRA of central employees. It is believed that these employees will start getting this allowance from September and accordingly their salary will also increase.
According to the Seventh Pay Commission Pay Matric, an employee as a Level-7 can get a salary ranging from Rs 44 thousand 900 to one lakh 42 thousand four hundred per month. That is, after the successful recruitment process, any person / worker working at this level gets Rs 44 thousand 900 in the beginning. Along with this, other allowances are also available, including Dearness Allowance (DA), Traveling Allowance (TA) and House Rental Allowance (HRA) etc.
