It is believed that the government may announce DA increase in the next 10 days. Earlier, allowances of employees of some departments have started being increased in different states. The latest case is from Tamil Nadu. Dearness allowance of 1700 Aavin employees of Tamil Nadu has been increased. Let us tell you that Aavin is the largest co-operative marketing federation of Tamil Nadu, which is owned by the government. It has dominance like Amul in South India. Its dairy products are quite popular.
DA increased to 38%
Milk and Dairy Development Minister Mano Thangaraj said that a 4% increase in dearness allowance has been announced for 1700 Aavin employees. Earlier, only employees working with Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation and six district unions got 38% DA, while employees working in other districts got 34% allowance. After repeated demands, the government has now made DA equal to 38% for all Aavin employees. The move is expected to increase the government’s annual expenditure by Rs 3.18 crore.
Let us tell you that the Central Government is soon going to announce the increase in dearness allowance of its employees. It is believed that the government can increase the allowance by up to 4 percent. If this happens then central employees will get an allowance of 46 percent. The government increases the allowance twice a year.
