7th Pay Commission latest news: There is good news for central government employees. After getting Dearness allowance, HRA, TA, promotion, now they can get another gift. In the year 2022, there is going to be a bumper increase in the salary of central employees (CG employees). If sources are to be believed, then the fitment factor of central and state employees can be increased. With the increase in fitment, there can be a jump in the basic salary of central employees by up to Rs 8000.
7th Pay Commission: May be considered soon
Central and state employees have long demanded that their fitment factor should be increased from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. According to sources, the government can consider this demand of central employees. Its decision is expected after July. If this happens, then there can be a double gift for the central employees in the month of August.
Basic Salary may increase by Rs.8000
If a decision is taken regarding the fitment factor of central employees, then their basic salary will increase directly. The employees are currently getting salary on the basis of fitment factor 2.57. Now it can be increased to 3.68. If this happens, then the minimum salary of the employees will increase by 8 thousand rupees. Meaning the minimum salary of Rs 18,000 will increase to Rs 26,000.
Considering doing 3 times fitment factor
A section of the government also believes that the minimum salary under 7th CPC can be increased to 3 times, not 3.68 times directly. According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission), the government can increase the fitment factor by 3 times. If the fitment factor is 3 times, the basic pay of the employees will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 21,000. Meaning it will increase by Rs 3000.
Union will meet cabinet secretary
According to sources, the employees union says that the government can consider the demand of the employees. The employees union has already met with the cabinet secretary. The employees were assured that the government could consider the fitment factor. However, there has been no thought since then. Now once again a decision can be taken in the meeting with the Cabinet Secretary. This meeting is likely to take place at the end of July.
