Promotion rules changed for which employees?
Revised norms have been fixed for defense civilian employees under the Ministry of Defense of the Central Government. This will be applicable to those employees who come under the pay matrix and pay band of the 7th Pay Commission. Also, the salaries of such employees are being paid from Defense Service Estimates. A notification has also been issued by the Defense Ministry in this regard.

Who will get promotion in which category?
According to the list, for Level 1 to 2 in the list of Eligibility Qualifying Service for Promotion, it is necessary to have 3 years of experience. Whereas for Level 2 to 4, experience of 3 to 8 years is required. Similarly, employees up to level 17 are required to have 1 year of experience and for levels 6 to 11, they are required to have 12 years of experience. There is a provision for promotion only on this basis.
Dearness allowance of employees is going to increase
Dearness allowance for the second half of the year is going to be announced soon for the central government employees. A total of more than 1 crore employees and pensioners are included in this. It is estimated that dearness allowance can be increased for the second half by the end of September.
This time also there may be a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance. However, some reports have claimed that dearness allowance will increase by 3 percent. The increased dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2023. At present, no official information has been given by the Central Government in this matter. At present, the date of approval by the government from the cabinet is also not included.
