Let us tell you that the results of Lok Sabha elections are going to come on June 4.

What is the matter

According to the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance or DA of central employees should be increased in the second half of the year. Under this, the Central Government increases DA every year in two half years from January to June and from July to December. There has been an increase in DA for the first half of the year 2024. This increase was 4 percent. Now the increase in allowance for July half year of central employees is awaited.

When will it be announced

Although the increase in half yearly allowance from July to December is announced in September or October, it becomes effective from the month of July itself. It means to say that the allowance will be increased from July 1st. At present the allowance of central employees is 50 percent. If there is an increase of 4 percent in the coming half year, then the allowance will increase to 54 percent. Whereas, in case of 3 percent, the allowance will be 53 percent.

Buzz of 8th Central Pay Commission

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions under the Department of Personnel and Training (Do&PT) has sent a letter from the Indian Railway Technical Supervisors Association to the Department of Expenditure regarding the constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission. A Central Pay Commission is usually constituted at an interval of ten years. However, the Narendra Modi government has told in the House that there is no proposal to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission.
