The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given bonus gifts to 28 lakh employees and pensioners before Diwali. This also includes non-gazetted employees. The bonus amount will be paid in November. Now the question is how much money will come in the bank account of the employees as bonus. Let’s understand it.
It has been said by the Yogi government that 25 percent of the bonus will be paid in cash. This means that only 25 percent of the bonus amount will come in the bank account. At the same time, 75 percent of the amount will go to the General Provident Fund ie GPF. If an employee does not have a GPF account, then this money will be deposited in his National Savings Certificate or PPF account.
Understand amount wise: An employee with a grade pay of Rs 4800 is expected to get Rs 6,908 as bonus. Only 25% of this will be paid in cash. Accordingly, out of Rs 6,908 bonus, the employees will get 1,727 in hand. Apart from this, Rs 5,181 will be deposited in the GPF account.
Who will get the amount: There are also some conditions for the amount of the bonus. For example, the employee must have completed one year of service as on March 31, 2022. Explain that the state government is going to increase the dearness allowance and relief of its employees from 28 percent to 31 percent. The state government has taken this decision on the lines of the central government.
