The government can give double good news next week on August 3. The central government may announce a 4% increase in DA after the cabinet meeting to be held in the first week of next month.
7th Pay Commission: The government can give good news next week on August 3. The central government can announce a 4% increase in DA after the cabinet meeting to be held in the first week of next month. The Modi government may decide to increase the DA amid the ever-increasing inflation in the country. DA i.e. Dearness Allowance is changed twice a year in January and July. Earlier this year, the government has increased the DA once. Till now no update has come from the government side regarding increasing DA for the second time.
This is how DA is decided
The increase in DA is decided on the basis of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) in DA. This time the retail inflation rate has reached 7.01 percent in the month of June. This inflation rate is higher than the RBI’s fixed inflation rate of 2 to 6 percent. In such a situation, it is believed and according to many media reports, there may be an increase of 4 percent in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR).
Government employees and pensioners will benefit
By increasing the dearness allowance of the government, 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners of the country will benefit as their salary will increase. At the beginning of the year, the government had increased the DA by 3 per cent, after which the dearness allowance had gone up to 34 per cent. Now due to increase in DA by 4 per cent, dearness allowance will increase to 38 per cent.
Salary will increase by increasing DA by 4 percent
The basic salary of the employees is Rs 56,900, they will get DA of Rs 21,622 if there is 38 percent dearness allowance. At present, Rs 19,346 is being received at the rate of 34 per cent at the rate of 34 per cent DA. The increase in DA by 4 percent will increase the salary by Rs 2,276. That is, about Rs 27,312 will increase annually.
